Attainment and Progress

Attainment and Progress is at the heart of all teaching and learning at Whybridge Junior School.  In depth analysis of data and performance added to regular Pupil Progress meetings with class teachers helps the school to monitor attainment and progress of all individual children, groups of children, classes and cohorts in very finite detail.  This encourages challenge for teachers, aspirational targets for leaners and early intervention when required to ensure learners are able to reach their full potential.

The school results for 2017 are based on Year 6 outcomes.  From 2016 tests were based on the New National Curriculum (2014) expectations and were the first results that are reported in the new format that does not include a ‘level’.  Children either achieve the expected standard in the assessed area or they do not.  The results are then measured against a National Average of pupils that reached the new expected standard in reading, writing and mathematics.
