Attainment and Progress is at the heart of all teaching and learning at Whybridge Junior School. In depth analysis of data and performance, added to regular Pupil Progress meetings with class teachers, helps the school to monitor attainment and progress of all individual children, groups of children, classes and cohorts in very finite detail. This encourages challenge for teachers, aspirational targets for learners and early intervention when required to ensure learners are able to reach their full potential.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the academic year 2019-20, all statutory assessments were cancelled. Hence, the school results for 2020 are based on teacher predictions of the Year 6 outcomes. At the end of Key Stage 2, children either achieve the expected standard in the assessed area or they do not. The results are then measured against a National Average of pupils that reached the new expected standard in Reading, Writing and Mathematics.
